Situation
Pepperdine Graziadio Business School was looking to increase student enrollment in innovative ways. I was tasked to identify these new innovative opportunities by pursuing a strategic partnership with AEG (Anschutz Entertainment Group). I identified, developed and was instrumental in securing the AEG partnership with Pepperdine University as an exclusive educational partner of STAPLES Center, LA LIVE, and the LA Kings, the first-of-its-kind.
Results
The exclusive educational partnership included:
- Partnership discussions and contract negotiations
- Exclusive Pepperdine Sports & Entertainment management programs – cultivating the next generation of executives
- MBA concentration in entertainment, media, & sports management
- LLM in entertainment, media, and sports law
- Branded Pepperdine Classroom within STAPLES Center providing a strategic education location in LA’s vibrant business comunity
- “Best-in-class” speaker series
- Opportunity to collaborate to produce sports, music, entertainment and business conference
- Employee integration and internship program
- Developing a series of events and custom content with the LA Kings
- Hosting Pepperdine Alumni networking nights at one of the 250 STAPLES Center events
